glad i jumped ship when i did
this upgrade really should be a 6.5 free update people.nothing groundbreaking happening whatsoever with this upgrade.a slicer and sidechaining finally.that alone should have been a 6.2 gift for sure.logic 8 feels, looks and more importantly sounds like a real daw.it looks like they spent all of their time on these instruments over the last year.they should have released the instruments and gave away the update.that is the only solution i can see for the abes.i have a feeling most people wont be upgrading until 8.you will always a few fanboys out there.

how so? From the fact that all the technology behind it was delivered by another company and Ableton just had to integrate them and give them a gui?john gordon wrote:it looks like they spent all of their time on these instruments over the last year.
The only solution for.... what, exactly? Bankrupcy?john gordon wrote:they should have released the instruments and gave away the update.that is the only solution i can see for the abes.
Why would you think they would rework the audio engine, rework the midi engine, improve RAM usage, add sidechaining, update several devices, create drum racks, create a slicer, add multiple automation lanes, add video export, add time-signature changes, tempo nudge, REX support, and update Operator and Sampler.....all for free?
Would you be willing to put in a year's hard work for free?

Perfectly said. It's like some of these people live in Fantasyland or something.Machinate wrote:The only solution for.... what, exactly? Bankrupcy?john gordon wrote:they should have released the instruments and gave away the update.that is the only solution i can see for the abes.

john - you'll be back to Live. we all walk our own paths, I see yours going up around over to the Hardware hill climb, back down software lane with a freebie Logic or Sonar CD demo, through the bog of DAW frustration and back onto Ableton Lane.
