Problems with transferring set to laptop - no sound - pops

Post by massiveheadpain » Thu Oct 11, 2007 8:11 am

I am trying to transfer a set from my desktop mac to a laptop macbook. When I pull up the set on my laptop, it opens but I get no sound. Just loud pops when i press play or stop and the CPU meter goes up like crazy everytime I hit the stop button. This is using the built in soundcard on the macbook and desktop. Both computers are running version 6.0.9 - When I open the set on my desktop it is fine, when I try and open the exact self contained set on my laptop I get no sound? Another interesting thing is that sound gets disabled for all applications until I quit Live. WTF

sounds like a performance problem... try increasing the Latency buffer size in LIVE on your macbook...

On my macbook I have to use at least 512 Samples to get a stable sound when dealing with more than 10 tracks and loads of plug-ins, though with the CPU test it runs with 128...

cheers

I tried increasing latency and all it did was make these horrible popping sounds when i moved the slider. No matter what setting i put it to it i still have no sound
