Good Quality Samples

Post by micwatt84 » Tue Oct 09, 2007 1:56 pm

Hi all

What websites can I go to that have professional sounding samples and loops?

I know you can get free samples everywhere but where can I get a decent CD full of house/techno samples that you have to pay for?

Cheers.

Check out Computer Music magazine and Future Music magazine. They give you a free DVD of samples every month usually about 4 gigs worth, all high quality. They have a lot of good production articles too. Otherwise http://www.peaceloveproductions.com/ is a place I used to go to. They are cheap and give you free sample every month. Or Bittorrents always have packs.

Sony?

Are the Sony loop packs any good? I've actually heard some stuff off of the Essential Percussion CD, very cool. I'm especially interested in the Funk, Drum n Bass, and House-type ones.

Big Fish Audio and http://www.zero-g.co.uk/ have the best quality and are the most extensive range.

Loopmasters has great stuff also and is evergrowing.

Ueberschall have some really cool house sample cds that are unique and very practical.
