That said, I strictly write in Live for creative creation only. A few tracks, almost no plugins other than the freaky ones and i'll record those mostly. When i've found the vibe and tempo, it all goes into PT where I even time compress my original tempo clips offline w Speed or Pitch n Time. Warp rarely ends up in my master tracks. My tracks sound really good and Live is certainly part of the process, but very simply and early in that process. You'll be much happier if you follow the same tact.

Here's one done that way. Good luck.

hey kranky I knew you had a bit of quality about you. although not my style of music preference the track in your sig is a well recorded track. but you needed to programme those drums in an mpc :twisted:i hope these guys in here are learing some stuff from you :!: and oyou know that half second of silence in the track I think you should do something about that

You evil fucker. And yes, I didn't have you in mind when i put the track together. Although you've made a good observation, It's the light loopy stuff I do in live. The heavy shit never sees live.

Yer right though, mpc's sound frickin good. Way tighter than live. :P

I have a 300 GB external drive usb 2.0 at 10,000 rpm and the internal laptop drive is 7200 rpm not a 5400, so freezing isn't really a problem on my setup.
