Pro vs. Media Center

I have Windows XP media center in my computer and I am about to do a fresh install of everything. Do you think I should continue to use Media Center or install XP pro instead? Will there be an increase in performance and stability?

Are you having stability issues now? I've heard media center isn't recommended for pro audio apps, but I have no direct experience with it myself.

I remember reading in SOS about problems with MCE. I have never experienced any myself, but there were some reported by users.

If you have a license for XP Pro then that is known rock solid, although if you have never seen any problems with MCE than that should be the same - IIRC the problems were driver stuff which you'd know about by now.
