I've tried by asking some SL users to send me the output of the messages.
But its pretty useless if you don't have a unit to cross reference it with.

We need something like this http://members.aol.com/mhigrules/MCMap.htm

What i really need is for somebody to figure out the bank changes messages on the SL. Try them out without the SL. (using a 'normal' midi controller with the SL protocol)
Once we know how those work. It'll be pretty easy to put the implementation in chart for users without a SL.

I don't care much for the controller to be honest. But i'm really pissed off, because SL users have more access to Live's features then any other Live users. I mean, wtf?

I wonna control everything too. I just wonna do it with the controllers i have.
Hi,

I was about to write a post, asking for desperate help to set up my somewhat limited (Axiom) controller the way i need it to work for me, but before doing so, i want to make one/two final attempt/s trying a couple of things on my own...
For one of these attempts i've been searching for the MIDI implementation chart for the SL in the same format as Hoffman2k had - about a year ago, and wanted to ask if anyone did and would share that info here?

There is a tutorial on live packs dedicated to Axiom as Remote controller. Have y checked it?

totally utterly desperately liveless useless

Yes, i have. It features two automaps, but the presets on either aren't 100% useful to me.

What i want is to use one button (to begin with) to function as a modifier, allowing me to assign the buttons and/or sliders to function groups... like:
e.g.
if Button1 sends value 1, then assign 8 buttons to "ARM"
if Button1 sends value 2, then assign 8 buttons to "Mute" ...
at the same time assign 8 sliders to "SEND A" or "SEND B" ...

From what i read i thought that SL ReMote has two buttons assigned to scroll through those various modes (Arm, Muste, Select, Send, etc.) to 8 button / sliders at one time. If that is so, i might utilize Midipipe (or other?) to emulate SL with my Axiom, but need to see the Midi implementation of what SL automap / Live is receiving, or SL is sending.. Ala the much discussed Mackie EM.

Would anyone be willing to share such a chart?
I think it would be insightful for other users, too (who, like me can't read python instantly). A thread could be started to expand on the brilliant Mackie List already in existence, including other controller surfaces.

I'm now adding a post to Tips & Tricks, which i had prepared yesterday, but not sent, which explains my endevour more clearly.. But, please if anyone can help - i am desperately liveless for too long!

great thread, I currently used the Zero SL in Live / Logic ect, and have been seriously considering the Mackie Universal Control Pro but had the same curiosity about how the Remote & Mackie would play.

I would like to use the Mackie for everything but plug-in tweaking where the Novation would handle all that. Is this possible?
