I updated my Williamsburg shortlist with the types of cuisine served. I can keep updating that thing every time I remember a restaurant, too.

well i've never been to blue smoke, but i have had virgil's (times square) and it was ok. Not as good as fette sau though IMO. dallas bbq is more of a burger joint that a smokehouse bbq though, so not really comparable.

Hey Homebelly - I've lived across the street from City Hall in Jersey City for almost 6 years! If they're not going to Brooklyn, they sure ain't headed to JC.

There's some good stuff to eat in my neighborhood, but I agree with the Muffin, food is really happening in Brooklyn.

I don't spend $$$ on meals too much, being a single dude who saves most of his money to buy gear and put out records. I can suggest a shit ton of budget ass sustanence I-don't-feel-like-cooking-but-I-don't-want-to-spend-more-than-ten-bucks type places.

i rest my case.

if you're the type of person that believes that no northerner can do cue, than i won't be able to convince you otherwise...

but if you're not a snob about it, fette sau is very good and likely the most authentic in nyc. I smoke at home, spare ribs and briskets, and their brisket was just as good as one of mine. I smoke my flats for 11` hours and am obsessive about my homemade rubs and mops. I know a thing or two about it.

give it a shot, it's good stuff.

I think you are thinking of K & M, Krystyna's & Margaret's. That's around the corner from me, and there are usually more people standing around outside than can even fit inside. That is the hipster hangout. And I grew up on pierogi, I can't get enough of those delicious things.
