Hi All
Just played a set last night and it all went fine i guess. However, between each song i played there was a loading time of something like 15-20 seconds, enough to irritate me and most importantly, irritate the audience who wanted to keep on dancing....
Anyone got any suggestions on how to solve this?
Cheers,
Andreas

why not use a single live set?
if your laptop cannot handle a large amount data - just drag your clips in while the previous song is playing

+1
This is what I do, but if my set is to be over an hour I split it into two, as it seems when I have more than an hour or so of audio I start getting that glitchy lag thing a lot of other users get.

Yeah I agree with 4.33 and COSM
We convert entire songs into audio.
That way we have one song in no more than three clips.
We take out some parts we want to perform live like pads and synths
One set is the way to go if you have a decent computer.

try the RAM setting on your clips too, i think that helps. And it helps to "warm up" your files before playing. 2 weeks ago today i had to do a 3 hour set for my school disco, and i warmed up the clips first and they all worked fine.

I just use an Ipod plugged through one of the inputs on my soundcard to cover the gaps with some nice ambient drones and loops. Just need to set up an internal routing in the soundcard to send the Ipod input straight to your main outputs.
