Take Comping Workarounds

Post by Bassic Dave » Wed Oct 17, 2007 7:12 pm

Well, I was hoping for this in L7 but no dice, so i guess I will have to stick to my old way of doing it. I record in arrange view with looping on, do my takes, then stack them up in arrange view on multiple tracks and change outputs to send only, send to a return track, and begin soling the takes, then pick the best ones and combine them into 1 track.
*whew* :?

Does anyone have any better methods for staying in live and comping?

Yeah, a thread about this would be most appreciated. Not having a good workflow for this and taking vocals from my vocalists is the only thing that keeps me using Logic at all. If I could get some insight into how others do it and come up with my own version then I could at last be all Live all the time!

A plugin would also be welcome (VST/AU), does anybody know about something like this?
