I use it and it's a solid piece of hardware
I have connected a Yamaha p80 as a midi and pianokeyboard for input 1 & 2
and a Nord on 3 & 4 in combination with a Mac Book Pro
It works fine without any lantency

But as alway's it's depends on what you want with it!

I have one too and am very pleased with it. Class compliant = no drivers (at least on OSX)... very nice feature. Also it's truly hot-swappable, unlike many other firewire cards on the market.

Sometimes I wish I'd opted for the fa-101 for the extra inputs/outputs, but I seldom need more than 4, so this isn't a big concern for me. It's something you should keep in mind while shopping, though.

another happy customer here. Very stable for my production at home and I throw it in the bag and DJ with it as well - no issues.

How low latency is possible with a realistic project and only software synths?

most of today's FW soundcards allow latency under 10ms . but under 20ms is still OK

I think that up to 5ms is good 7 is ok but 10ms and up is not good enough for me.

Is it possible to get 5ms with Edirol FA-66 ????

:D
