need help with midi stuff >> PROBLEM SOLVED!! - THX

hi folks!

i own an bcf2000 ...
i need 2 of 4 buttons in the lower right corner to be able to navigate scenes in session view...

as described in other topics, i tested two different methods...

in live's preferences i enabled "track" & "remote"
on the in and out-ports of the midi devices.
(no control surface activated)

then i programmed the buttons sending as follows ..

1.
scene up: cc; controller number 96; max val.127; min val.0; toggle off
scene down: cc; controller number 97; max val.127; min val.0; toggle off

2.
scene up: note; note number 96; value 100; toggle off
scene down: note; note number 97; value 100; toggle off

also tried "toggle on"

.... nothing works! live indicates that it is receiving midi data ...

what am i doing wrong here?
any help is higly appreciated, as i'm going to play a gig soon ...
