I want to get a new notebook, but most new machines are coming with Vista preinstalled. are there any issues with installing Windows XP on these machines? The guys at the store keep telling me that its not advised , that the new notebooks are designed for Vista etc... but I really need to have XP.
any advise would be much appreciated. Thanks.
P.S - getting a Macbook is not an option at the moment as I live in Australia and they are around $1000 more than in the states.
Ableton 6 better on OSX or Windows?
I had loads of problems with mine and had to bring it back, HP weren't making XP drivers available, some of them I just couldn't find , even with the component manufacturers, after about two weeks tearing my hair out, I brought it back and got a macbook, that said some manufacturers are shipping with XP also now, (dell ect) they will have XP drivers freely available.
