Hey,
I'm trying to connect my computer native sound spdif output to my Digidesign
Mbox 2 S/pdif input but somehow it doesn't work.
My Asus P5K motherboard has a spdif output by the way...
The S/pdif channel in the sound panel of my computer is greyed out
and I can't hear anything .
I looked in the bios of my motherboard but the only sound setting
that can be modified is enabling or disabling the High Definition sound.
I tried switching this but didn't help either...
Anybody got an idea because using the guitar or mic inputs on
my Mbox gives me sound + alot of noise Rolling Eyes
Thx
S/Pdif...
UUUUG
ME TOO!!!
i want to use the pre amps in my m box and use the interface of my M-audio firewire 410!!!
DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DO IT???
is there a special type of cable for spdif? or is it just a regular RCA?
i think it has something to do with syncing the word clock in each of them...

Re: UUUUG
You'll need a spdif cable to use spdif sound but eventhough I bought onedonttouch wrote:ME TOO!!!

I'm still stuck at trying to get sound coming out of my motherboard spdif
output...... I tried a lot believe me... still doesn't work
Spdif output on my computer's Realtek sound rack is still greyed out...
I saw your other post you made about this and some members told
you to go to preference in live to activate you spdif output ??
where are those? couldn't find any spdif buton or reference into live's
preferences
This is driving me crazy for weeks now
