Missing Tracks In Recording

Post by nano » Sun Oct 21, 2007 6:13 pm

I'm very new to Ableton so please bear with me. I just got the program, and so I was just jamming out with some loops going, and decided to record it, as it was so amazing. I think I just hit the record button, started going, and jammed out with my loops, bringing them in and out, for about 10 minutes or so. Anyway, during playback, only the first 4 or 5 loop samples make sound. I can see the waveform of the samples that are silent, yet they don't make any sound. Help would be greatly appreciated, I'm quite excited to get this figures out. Thx

How did you bring them in and out?

Things to check on "silent" tracks: Mute not on. Volume envelopes are not at zero. Solo is not pressed on the other tracks. Audio routed to Main Output, not someplace funny. Disable plugins on silent tracks.

Also, hit the Return to Arrangement button, if you see three lines on a red square up on top.

This is the most likely culprit now that I think about it.

See manual for Return To Arrangement for what this does... basically, your session view might be overriding what you see in arrangement view.
