On October 25, 2007, Ableton's West Coast Product Specialist will host special guests Jim Cowgill and Drew Anderson. Jim Cowgill has been active in electronic music since 1982. From early work with synth- pop bands like Glad Corp, he eventually became a solo performer occasionally collaborating with other musicians. He has composed music for corporate videos, and theatrical sound design. His current music project is Sequenox; a journey into cinematic ambient and synthesized rhythms. Jim has used Ableton Live since version 4; and relies on it as a creative tool, both in performance and in the studio.
Since hearing Led Zeppelin played back on an Apple IIe computer in 1985, Drew Anderson has been hooked on sound and computers. Professionally, he has worn many hats including writer for Computer Music and mastering engineer for Masterdisk in NYC. Musically, he has collaborated with musicians and artists from around the world for a number of multimedia and musical projects. Currently he is composing for the installation "The God Project" with artist Keri Bruno and writing for his project "lake of sleep'. Drew has been an active Abelton user (and obsessive) since the demo of Live 1.0.[/img]
