If you're absolutely brand new to computer music, the magazine by the same name would be a good investment for you...their website absolutely sucks, but the magazine always has worthwhile information, especially for beginners.Librado wrote:I forgot to say I know absoulutly nothing about computer generated music, what i like to listen to.

Again, only use the URL to find out how to subscribe (there is nothing of any value on their website) or you can pick the magazine at most Barnes & Noble or Borders bookstores
3.2 GHz Windows XP, Live 7, Reason 4, FL Studio 7, Stylus RMX, Sytrus, Toxic III, Novation X-Station 49, Akai MPD24, EMu XK6, Roland MC-303, Gemini BPM5000 Mixer, MBox

- free tutorials don't hurt! If we're talkin magazines I highly recommend Sound on Sound, an excellently written magazine. It's subscription but only for the past few months: They have literally years of free archived articles and that includes tons of tutorials for newbies/oldbies(?) - check out their ableton tutorials ...
There was a great thread about theory a couple of years ago with a strong list of good books. Anybody have a link to that? I have tried searching but the results are difficult to work through.
Ableton’s engineers are hard
at work developing code that will allow our software to predict the future, but we don’t
anticipate having this available until at least the next major release.

I offer some tips, news, and links on electronic music production including Live in my blog - http://www.modulatethis.com. That link is the top of the blog. The Ableton Live specific posts are here http://newecho.typepad.com/blog/ableton_live/index.html.Librado wrote:Please help me feed my mind. Very good... I guess I was focussed on the first part about Theory.sparklepuff wrote:It helps getting started making music with Live. That, too, was one of the questions.Moody wrote:How does the manual explain Theory?sparklepuff wrote:has nobody suggested the manual yet? A good place to start.
