NRPN not supported?

So I finally got a MIDI Controller today and was thrilled to use it with Live.. However, it seems that Live does not record NRPN messages, which renders it pretty much useless for the outboard gear I have. I run Live 5.2; hopefully this has changed in Live 7? I really enjoy using Live, but not being able to record NRPN is a pretty serious flaw in my book

I really think live doesn't accept NRPNs. Only 14bit CCs.

hmm.. can someone from Ableton confirm that they are working on this or plan to support it in a future upgrade? Its quite important for me that my DAW of choice can support these messages; I would hate to leave Live only to find out that it will be supported sometime in the near future

I don't know about Live 5 or 6, but this is a screenshot of Live 7 using the NRPN knob on my Alesis Micron. So you can record them it seems.

But you can only use 14-bit CC (Absolute) for remote controlling Live, so those NRPNs wont work for knobs/faders in Live.
