Sampler: MIDI CC Control
Hello,
I'm using a fader on my midi controller to control the Loop Start time of a vocal sample I'm working with in Sampler. Unfortunately my microKontrol has a Pitch Bend/Mod Wheel joystick that annoyingly returns to center when released, and only allows the faders to adjust CC numbers from 0-127. I have ended up using MIDI-OX and MIDI-Yoke to transform two of my faders into Pitch Bend and Mod Wheel, so that I can adjust the Loop Start and Loop Length values. This is very nice as it lets me choose what sound to play and how long to play it before looping forwards or backwards, and it's incredibly fun!
It would be nice if the parameters in the MIDI tab of Sampler could be controlled by MIDI CC's as well as the special MIDI messages different keyboards implement in different ways, I wish for that feature.
Thank you,

+1, and for other loop parameters such as Loop End

Agreed!
Hear Here on that one!
One strange thing I've run into using faders to control the Loop Start and Loop Length, if the Loop Length is longer than the rest of the sample, the starting time will be changed so that there's enough room to play the entire loop.
This can be disconcerting because I'll set the Loop Start to be towards the end of the sample, but if I increase the Loop Length beyond the remaining time of the sample (very easy to do with sounds near the end of a sample) all of a sudden the Loop Start time will jump to the beginning of the sample.
This can be fixed by decreasing the Loop Length, but if there was a Loop End parameter, I could adjust the start and end points relative to the sample, without having to worry about overshooting my wave.
Thanks much!

Re: Sampler: MIDI CC Control
So no one else has run into this problem or desired this control eh?

Have good ones,

Hey all,
Just bought a Launch Control for this exact feature! Are none of the parameters other than REVERSE on/off assignable to my lovely new encoders?
