the previewing system is bizarre
the previewing system is bizarre
when previewing an audio file in the browser, skipping forward by clicking in some vague unspecified area in the top right and corner is a completely bizarre way to do it
how about just right clicking while previewing?

I'm not sure what you mean by "clicking in some vague unspecified area in the top right and corner is a completely bizarre". Can you explain it?

well, maybe I have it wrong, or maybe it is not working properly in the beta
but if previewing a full length music track and you want to skip through it you have to click the play head in the 2nd half of the overview
unless it's some where else and I just couldnt find it - but it seems to work *sometimes* if I click in the 2nd half of the overview when stopped, but it is totally unpredictable
but the choice of putting it up there when the file is to the left seems bizarre to me because it would make far more sense to have it near the file
eg. if you are a DJ going through all your songs and you want to skip to the middle you would much rather have the skip forward button near the file in the browser, not all the way up in the top right corner of the screen

Amen, we've been asking for this on ALDJ for ages now. I'd love to just see a play slider on the bottom of the browser window, something that would let you drag the preview play position anywhere and start playback in time with the music as it is currently.

A day without House Music isn't the end of the world but is so damn close.

The kind of functionality that clicking the overview currently achieves would do for now. if only it was independent of the main timeline so you could skip through tracks in the browser while tracks playing in session view were unaffected.

that would be a great feature. iam previewing so many samples which are sometimes 2-3 minutes long. a simple thin slider on the preview bar on the bottom left would be awesome!

the thing I really dont get is - to enable clicking on the overview to skip it forward means at some point somebody thought about this and actually implemented it
I find it quite bewildering to think that anyone, anywhere, ever thought clicking on the overview could be the logical way to skip a previewing track forward when there is a really obvious progress counter in the status bar
it just doesn't make any sense at all
