Mac + fw1814 problem

Post by Joost Krull » Tue Oct 30, 2007 11:46 am

Hi,

I'm having a difficult problem and can't find any info on it. I'm running Live on a macbook pro with a m-audio 1814. When I'm plug it in Live regonises the 1814 but it won't send audo to the 4 unbalanced out only to the ADAT out. After some start ups (or even putting the mac to sleep) it works but it sometimes takes me up to 20minutes. This is a big problem for me does anyone experienced the same problems or other?
I noticed that the 1814 and my mac are really instable. Sometimes irt works sometimes not, when it runs it runs fine....

Hope someone kan help me out
grt! Joost

Just to be shure: the routing in Live is really not the problem
I'm running:
Macbook pro 10.4.10
AppleFWaudio: 2.0.1
M-audo driver: 1.8.2

Hi Joost,

I have the M-Audio 410 interface and had some similar problems with the interface beeing recognized right away by my macbook.

In my case I found out that I have to reset the M-Audio interface within the M-Audio software cotrol panel or load a saved mixer preset. For me the normal reset works fine, because I use the standard mixer setup.

Hope this helps,

cheers

Stefan

Thx I will try that as soon as I'm back in the studio. Do you have to reset it each time you connect it?

cheers Joost

yes, but it's not a big deal to open the control panel and click reset..
