Achieving ccurate wind sounds with Live

Post by m_three10 » Tue Oct 30, 2007 9:07 pm

Basically im looking to start a tune im working on with a nice extended 'wind sound' like a slow long sound that would drag on for about half a minute or so and fade into the intro.

But im stumped as to what would work.
Could someone point me along the way to making a good realistic 'wind sound'

You can get some pretty cool wind sounds just using a white noise generator in just about an synth ( I use operator) and a band pass filter, then chuck it through some delay and reverb..... just automate the frequency and resonance in non uniform paterns and you will get some windy sounds. the more time you spend on programming the automation the more realistic it can sound
