Look, I reported this way back around beta 6 and you guy's still have not fixed this fatal bug that crashes Live. I'll go over it one more time.
1] this happens with VSTi's whose properties dialog boxes REMEMBER where they were last placed on the screen. Edirol Virtual Sound Canvass and SuperWave are the 2 I tested.
2] this appears to be a multiple monitor problem. I have a dual monitor system. My SECONDARY SCREEN IS SET TO THE LEFT of the primary monitor. This is opposite how most people have their systems setup.
3] this is reproducable. I have Live running in the Primary screen [on the right], I apply a VSTi to a midi channel and launch the properties dialog. First time, and maybe even the second time it displays fine.
After a few tries the VSTi tries to display the properties dialog the full width and hieght of both screens with nothing displayed. To cancel the dialog I have to drag the properties dialog all the way over to the left so I can get at the cancel button which is displayed at the top right corner of the dialog box.
4] after going through step 3 a few times, Live does a cosmic mind fart and crashes. It says it's generating a log file, but I've searched my drives and none can be found. This causes the audio and rewire subsystem on my machine to remain crapped out, forcing me to reboot the machine to get things working properly again.
This is a serious bug and needs to be fixed prior to release. Get on it Ableton.
[awi] b12 is still broken and crashes
