where'd you see that? i've been checking their site pretty often, and haven't seen any news. in fact, they've even removed the link they used to have for to the one-pager.

i just double-checked the site . . . no news. man, you got my heart racing - i want one too!! or at least play with one at the store . . .

I was talking to one of the M-audio guys a couple of days ago, and I don't think it's ready for release yet. The words 'Development Hell' come to mind.

Be patient, though - the thing is gonna rock. I'd rather they hold off than unleash an unusable/unreliable piece of hardware on us, wouldn't you?

I guess you're right...I seem to remember Ableton held off the release of Live until they were ready, and at the time I admired them for it...but this thing is taking forever...I was really hot for it, but the more time I spend now using 'traditional' keyboards the less likely I am to change over to something else. I'm surprised nobody else is developing a similar box.

I was a little surprised to see the touch sliders on it, just because of the complexity and cost they add. Still, I hope M-Audio takes their time on this because they seemed to have pushed out some of their last items (like the Quattro) before the devices and drivers were really fully done.

check/call www.novamusik.com first - they almost always beat zzounds/musiciansfriend/samash - and the people are super nice - and they are actually musicians and know what the fuck they are selling. and no I don't work for them ;)
