My mate recently got a KORG ZERO4. He mostly uses CDJ's. I mostly use Live. I've got Live setup for the ZERO4 ie all audio and midi mapped etc. But I'm having a bit of problems syncing the MIDI clocks.
The ZERO4 outputs a MIDI clock from which the BPM is auto detected from any audio channel you want or you can enter in or tap in a beat. So say I have a CD deck on channel 1, I can set the ZERO for to detect the BPM from channel 1. This means all BPM effects will be in sync as will the clock output.
I can get LIVE to sync to the clock from the ZERO 4 but the first beat is always out. No matter what quantize setting I use, its always slightly out!
Has anyone else had this problem and managed to get around this?? Am I doing something wrong or is it a latency thing and I just need to play with the track delay settings some more??
Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I'm running LIVE 6 on a PowerBook G4 1.36GHz, 768MB RAM
