Logics samplers synths and vocoder are unmatched in Live.

Unless Ableton throws in the new ones's for free.

This is great stuff.
15" PB 2.5 Ghz, 4 Gig RAM, 750 GB HD, Live 9 still no cue points or program change messages?!?. Doesn't do shit.

i mean it is really silly when you think about it.. except for sculpture
i can't see any logic instrument that doesn't have an alternative you
can run right in live.

sculpture, yes, but i don't even really use that much.
i don't have sampler or operator or the new 7 instruments yet also.
i do however have several idm kits i've built in the exs24 and custom drum synth kits with one-shot triggerable patterns in ultrabeat that now allows parameter step sequencing. I'm also a big fan of the ES2, EVP88, tape delay, and the interface for splitting my keyboard zones. I imagine you're right that it is possible to substitute most of the logic devices with racks, vst's, and reason... and when i get my hands on Live 7.. logic could become obsolete to me. but its seeming like a very powerful performance setup at this point.[/quote]

i was unable to pass audio from live, into mainstage through an effect and back into live by the way... soundflower is not smart enough.

you'll have to patch externally with real cables and stuff.

Are you sure? You might be able to pull it off with the 16-16 soundflower interface, using 1-2 from live -> mainstage, and have mainstage output to 3-4... of course, it'd use a shitload of CPU power, but I guess it's worth a shot.

this is funny, this was the first thing I did when I got Logic.
Well second, I fiddled with Logic itself a bit, tried out the instruments and said, damn I've gotta rewire this to Live!
Pretty expensive suite of plugins but hey, it's worth it.
