I have been using Live for about 6 months now, generally with great success. This morning however, I have run into problems with recording acoustic guitar. I usually have Warp enabled (complex mode), but only because I want to loop the clip, not because I want to time stretch it (my understanding is that you can only loop a clip with Warp on). I have not added any warp markers to the clip, but with Warp switched on, the sound quality is noticeably degraded (it sounds like time stretching artefacts are present, even though they I’m not time stretching).
It’s playing back at the same tempo it was recorded at. If I set the Warp mode to beats tones / texture / repitch I think the clip is playing back OK. Can anyone help me to work out what is going on. Is Complex a mode that resamples even if you don’t time stretch?
I have used the Complex mode on lots of tracks and not noticed a degradation in quality before, do I need to go back to my existing tracks and set them to a different warp mode (I never use time stretching / warp markers). Do the other Warp modes affect the sound quality?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Warp Quality Question when not warping.

Complex mode definitely will ALWAYS degrade the sound, no matter the tempo. Never ever never use this mode for recording!!
Safest are beats and repitch. Tones and texture should be OK too but are .01% less desirable than beats or repitch
Remember too that the warping will be captured by Consolidating. So if you have consolidated anything while in complex mode then your clip's audio has been permanently damaged.
