Overlap Regions without deleting?

Post by herk » Tue Nov 06, 2007 3:37 pm

hi,

is there anyway to move regions without them deleting what is behind them?

its really annoying sometimes, when i have to move around stuff in the arrangement view. :(

They aren't really deleted, but the edges are moved

In other words when this happens, you can restore the clips by dragging their edges back to where they were

But basically - no, this is just how it works. two clips cannot overlap on a track (for now) ;)

Maybe you mean covering up a clip entirely...

I guess that would be deleted.

Either: Copy the smaller clip, then move the other clip, then paste back the smaller clip.

Or: Select only a small portion at the beginning of the clip you want to move, drag that to the place you want and then adjust its right border until it reaches the smaller clip.
