abortion & god

Post by zstowasser » Wed Nov 07, 2007 6:15 pm

I also wanted to add more about the abortion issue - if more people were educated about sex, weren't ashamed of it, and had easy access to birth control methods, maybe abortion wouldn't be used so often. Abortion should be reserved as strictly a last resort. Unfortunately many religious groups are against birth control methods, and they push politicians for overturning row vs wade and hope abstinence education will solve the problem. Unfortunately they're not living in reality... they think there is an invisible man up in the sky!

birth control should be way cheaper. If a girl doesn't have insurance, sex can get pricey- even for her!

In the US there is Planned Parenthood, which gives away all kinds of free shit. A friend of mine got a vasectomy there for free, and I'm going to visit them soon too...once I have no income! ;)

Every single person I know that has kids has kids because it was an accident. I know that I don't want the life change that comes with kids, and I won't want that in the next 5-10 years, which is all the window Tracy and I have before age-realted complications really set in.

The thought of not having kids is scary to me, until I really analyze why I'm scared of it, and when I think of all the time/money/energy I would have to put into positive things in the world around me, as opposed to puttin gall that into raising a child right. Never to diss anyone that has kids, but when I see what the parents my age are going through, it turns me off. When I think about lots of sex with my wife with no need for worry or protection, that's good incentive too!!

I think Ron Paul is by far the best man for the job. The world needs him in there!
Shame he will never get elected.

I think the USA must be the only "democracy" with only 2 parties.
So you have to vote for elephants or donkeys even though you might like cats, dogs, snakes, tigers or buterflies better! Not to mention that the candidate who gets more votes can be the loser, electronic voting machines way buggier than Microsoft's products, etc...

I was briefly discussing the free-market non-regulation aspect of Ron Paul with a friend last night, and he showed me this video of Bill McDonough, author of Cradle to Cradle speaking...I haven't watched much yet, but I like what he says so far.

Ron Paul is running 6th in the polls, isn't this kind of pissing in the wind? back who you want, fight the good fight but what happens when RP doesn't get the nomination?
http://www.pollingreport.com/wh08rep.htm

Giuliani scares the crap out of me and I have no faith in Americans to vote for a woman (named Clinton at that) or an African American.

Ron Paul is a liberterian to me, in other ways he's the vote for people who want a change like Perot and other characters of his ilk that come along.

this coming from a staunch democrat with little hope for the future.

No worries mate! You've got friends in the south Pacific who'll sponsor you out here when the shit hits the fan. Given your electrical engineering skills, we should be able to organise double pay for working with 240V. :D

 think I can fool the kiwis like I'm fooling the yank employers??

a coworker moved down there years ago, the day he signed for the house and land including some river rights he was a different guy, like he was living and headed for heaven.
