MIDI CONTROL SURFACE Q'S

Post by TheHollow » Fri Nov 09, 2007 1:15 am

need a little help with my setup... using live 6.
running a BCF2000, XSESSION PRO, X25, and a trigger finger...

now.. my main question is.. and im hoping its possible...
push buttons etc. correspond to notes.. wondering if theres a way to make them just act as buttons and not notes because if for eg. i go up or down an octave.. playing a synth part is then turning buttons on and off aswell...

also is it possible for each of the surfaces to be recognized completely independantly? ie. the pad on the trigger finger corresponding to c0 will not clash with the button on the bcf2000 that is c0....

its something thats got me a bit stumped :P...

** also this is off live for a second.. but when i run the bcf2000 (mackie control emulation) in nuendo.. when i move fadeers to control the volume of audio tracks it also changes the pitch of some of the midi data on other tracks.

also is it possible to keymap the number pad on the right of the keyboard seperate to the numbers along the top of the keyboard....

cheeeeeers,!

first up, I know that the trigger finger has a buttone that says ctrl/note mute. hit this before making assignments when it says 'ctrl' all controll data is ignored. hit it again and 'not' comes up and all notes are ignored. i'm assigning different 'midi from' s for different instruments ain't enough?
live 6, M-audio mobilepre/axiom25/oxygen61/triggerfinger, Behringer BCR2000.
