OSX ver bug in latency compensation field

Hi all,

This is a serious bug i found in the Mac OS X version, as far as i can see.

I may be in other versions, but I think people would have noticed it by now.

Basically the bug is that options menu, audio pane, has a little box where you need to input a negative number to compensate for hardware and software latency in+out. So that when recording a new loop it will play back accurately, compensating for the latency.

the problem is that as far as i can tell, the number in the box does nothing.

impact: recording loops externally from hardware and live performance will always result in an audio file which is slightly delayed.

I am running 10.1.5, on a 667 (667/800) powerbook with the latest version of Live. Audio in+out is with a tascam US428.

Who can verify this?

just try changing the numbers and recording something, and see if it affects the sync.
