New Music

Post by mrthebigman » Fri Nov 09, 2007 7:26 pm

Hey folks,

I am new to the board so allow me to introduce myself:

My name is Jason and I have been a dj and producer for many years.

I have uploaded a few tracks to my myspace site created and mixed in Ableton Live. Please have a listen and leave me a comment on how you think they are shaping up.

I have also done some Ableton Live tutorials so peruse as you see fit, the link is on the myspace site for my actual web site.

I am from Belfast N.Ireland and I am looking to bust out of here and make a name for myself.

Thanks once again, roll on Live 7!

I just listened to 'Your Mine' ... I like it. Really dark; the instruments are super tight, lots of space, cool vocals. Terrific!

Thanks for that GirlSonic, this is the first time I have ever worked on Glitch as a genre so it was quite rewarding to see what actually goes into it.

Didnt like Useless that much, others might though.

Your Mine, intro nice and brooding. Like the drum programming. Proximity effect on the vocals ruins it a tiny bit, do some EQ cut on the bass end and you should hear it tydy up, then compress to hell and gate.

The "You mine" part could be sampled and stuttered in the mix to great effect. I'm 3 minutes in and can see this has great potential!

Thanks for the advice, I was wondering if the vocal was to bassy.

Cheers

"You're Mine" is a great track, really well programmed. Im with downfader on this, I would stutter up and glitch out the vocal a bit in places, but sparingly, just enough to add to it, not make it another of the "one trick pony" glitch tracks that rely on thier glitching more than good programming.

Nice one :)
