OT: Heroes sub plot burnout
OT: Heroes sub plot burnout
I have to say i really couldn't care less about Hiro's storyline this season. Never really been a fan of Niki's clan either. Also the eyeball leakage death siblings aren't really doing much for me. Anybody else less impressed with this season's individual storylines?
And why the Hell are they bringing back everybody they killed off last season?

When you say "everybody" I can only think of DL. Who else is back from the dead?? Peter obviously didn't die, neither did Sylar.beats me wrote:I have to say i really couldn't care less about Hiro's storyline this season. Never really been a fan of Niki's clan either. I find that this season is a hell of a lot more dumbed down. How hard was it to figure out that Hiro was to become Takezo Kensei?? Or that Peter is the one going around killing off the old folks? I don't even know why I bother watching any TV at all. This and the Office are the only shows I watch, and the occasional CSI:Pick-A-City which is guaranteed to be on some channel at any given time of day. I'm going to bed now.

This is silly. I started watching the second season not too long ago and honestly--the writing became so bad I don't know if I can take it anymore. Too bad, I was hooked on the first season.

Let's see what Neb has to say on the subject tomorrow, I know he's hooked on this kooky piece of shit show. And he's in love with that little 'People GPS' bitch.

haha. Seriously, I think they have kids her age writing season two. I watched all of season one (in a single weekend almost) awhile back when I was sick. Just got onto season 2 a month later and the difference is shocking. What's with the romance BS? The dialog reminds me of 5th grade homework assignments. I should have known with the "save the cheerleader" mantra.sparklepuff wrote:I'm with ya. I might actually make music with my 9 o'clock our uninterrupted tomorrow night.glu wrote:This is silly. I'm willing to defend it, especially after the last episode (Nov 5).
Bringing in Adam seems to have given the whole Feudal Japan stuff a reason for being in the story. And most episodes are able to provide me with something slightly unexpected. Molly is tolerable, and the dad's power make an excuse for even more imaginitive set designs, etc.
I thought it may have been wobbling a bit, but the last season redeemed it for me. And it was never exactly perfect even in season one. It is network television after all.

Although I am firmly hooked on the show, I honestly don't think season 1 was that much better than season 2, writing-wise. I mean really, season 1 I watched all along but never thought it was that deep or intelligent, but I still liked it anyways. Season 2 hasn't really changed much of anything for my appreciation (addiction) of this show. I gotta see what happens next. I actually think some interesting things are happening.
Why do you think it's peter going around killing people sparklepuff? I was thinking it's adam.

How you can seriously think the writings got worse after what was possibly the biggest wet fart of an end to the first series ever I'm not very sure.
I think they built it up way too much and then they just couldn't sustain that in the final episode. Where Nathan flies Peter away so he doesn't blow up New York, because Peter seems to have completely forgotten he can fly on his own anyway. This is the guy that can also teleport himself instantly and manipulate time supposedly.

Yeah...mixed feelings about season 2 for me. The black goo-bleeding twins...something interesting needs to happen fast, the Hiro story line...predictable. I like the 'copy-cat' girl, though. there's potential there...I have a few pornos I'd like her to watch.

Tim Kring has acknowledged that it has been pretty poor this season and is glad that the writers strike has arrived to give him a chance to save the show.

Wow, that was pretty cool of him to admit. I'm a little confused by the timeline he gives though as far as dates. Are they saying that a show aired in early December is going to be the last of the season? Isn't that a little early?Angstrom wrote:Tim Kring has acknowledged that it has been pretty poor this season and is glad that the writers strike has arrived to give him a chance to save the show.

that's because of the writers strike.
Although the episodes beyond those will be written to a degree, there is always some re-writing needed during filming, and if that's not possible then they will have to consider Dec 3 the season finale!

I read that as : " it is so shit that we need to start again before the network drops us"Dec. 3 episode has been retooled to function as a potential season finale — a move inspired by the writers' strike and a desire to give the show ''a clean slate''
