agreed on the above list...also, most DAWs could take a few tips on FL's incredible progressive midi composing/editing. Great tools.

It's Rachmaninov. Wish it actually was mine, or that I'd played it.

I've been making a piano using the Splendid 72 soundfont in Sampler (tweaked) and layering it with Tension which is providing ambient string noise, hammers and such.

I figure that it should be able to take anything if it can play this (excellent) midi file.

Wanna hear it?

I'll have to upload it all first, it's quite long. Maybe I'll do a snippet.

It's a mental midifile that I've had for a while, the whole thing's worth a listen if anyone's into it.

I was just pointing out that it's definately not for everybody, kind of glad about it too if I'm honest.
Very well said.

It's quite believable isn't it.

I'm in awe of whoever played that. It absolutely blows my mind.

I bet djritchie did it with just a mouse and no controller, all on FLStudio...those awesome midi toolz...making masterpieces, one click at a time...

One feature i can think of right off the bat that is missing for that work is that you can't display an exact length in time of a selection very quickly.

I might be missing what you are referring to here but the length in time of any selection, 'Duration', is displayed in the 'Status Bar' of the arrangement view when your mouse is in the 'Track Display' area. It won't display if you are hovering directly over a clip - it will give you that clips specific info instead. Personally, I wish it was more prominent and at the top instead of bottom - time is important.

Am I imagining hearing the sustain pedal? Maybe it's just bass notes, but I swear I hear the sound of the pedal pumping. ( No, no beer yet tonight!)
