dude, million thanks for your post!! i never knew about this controller and this is exactly what i need, so next thing i know - i've ordered it
looks much more handier for performances than my novation zero

i'm not sure if it will work in mackie emulation, but you can try this,
in Live midi prefs:
- select Mackie Control as the control surface, then choose Bitstream In and Out (?)
- on Bitstream make buttons transmit on Port 1
- you do have the mackie control chart already, don't you? it's here in the Tips&Tricks section somewhere. if you don't find it - let me know and i'll email it to you

hope this helps, at least that's what I'll do first thing my unit arrives

I LUV THIS BOARD

done all that, dont have mackie control chart already
the 8 buttons send commands
sliders work for channels
just cant figure out how to get session view running

i've noticed raiden is using one for his sets so i'm pretty sure its possible

[note the Session view column needs some exploration still, as of Tuesday, May 22, 2007.]

so does cursor motion move up and down session view?
and how do i get bitsream to send
96 c6 6 Cursor Up scene up
97 c# 6 Cursor Down scene down
98 d 6 Cursor Left track left
99 d# 6 Cursor Righ track right
using a pot

hey spiral,

just got a bitstream and I haven't really gotten that deep into it yet. one wierd thing i found was that using the mackie emulation template on the B3X and the mackie contoller prefs in Live, Ableton didn't even recognize the controller unless the Live application folder was on the desktop! oddly the same thing was true with Novation Automap (back before i got rid of my SL). Must be something to do with my ableton preferences but I've never been able to sort it out...

anyway, if i ever get any time alone with my bitstream, i'll let you know if i get mackie control to work properly.

Sounds like you're trying to get a mouseless DJ thing happening...

See my signature for both a simple MC screen emulation and a full-blown MC emulator/manager for OS X. Not free however. Or maybe you already knew that.
