reaktor 4.1.2 crashes Live 4.0.1

Hello,

Absolutly love the software!

But, I'm having serious issues with Reaktor 4.1.2 and Live 4.0.1.

Any saved sets with more than one instance of reaktor results in total freezing of live when trying to reopen....

Any word on when this can be fixed?

on an P4 laptop, Reactor 4.1.2 also causes the machine to slow to a crawl and crash. Using a MOTU896 as the audio interface.

I'm having similar problems with LIVE 4.01 and Reaktor Sessions 1.1.2.

1GHZ Powerbook Mac 512k MOTU 828mkII

Whenever I try opening a live set that has a reaktor effect or synth, it crashes live...even if it's only one audio or one midi track in the entire set...and/or one instance of reaktor session

I"m having more or less the same problems, but a little better luck with the synths. I try to bounce as much as possible to audio tracks and save the set often.

I believe there will be a Reaktor update next week which might help.

Well I doubt the Reaktor update has Live users at the top of their agenda, but this is a Reaktor forum quote (dated 7/20) from Julian Ringel, the new Reaktor product manager:

"So my first action is to tell you that there will be an 4.1.3 update of Reaktor soon. It will fix the redraw graphic issue. The installers went into the NI internal beta test today. So we MIGHT see the update in two weeks. This is no promise."

looks like you're on os x.

find ~Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Reaktor

(s)

and chuck them somewhere else temporarily.

load your live set.

bobs your uncle.

(but without reaktor)

if you want to do this using Reaktor, you need to use the VST Custom Plugins folder, and remove Reaktor when you load the set (remove from custom folder, re-scan, load) and then put it back (put reaktor back in, re-scan)

or alternatively, load up Live 4.01, then de-activate VSTs/AUs, and you'll be able to open the song.. sans VSTs, then re-activate, and load up your VSTs individually..

real pain this bug though.. sort it out NI/ableton
