Weird Audio slowdown in Media Player 11 when Live is open

There is some soundcard wierdness going on at the moment, so it might be related e.g. If Live 6.0.10 (or 7.0 beta) is open, and I play certain files in Media Player 11, they play at about quarter speed, like slowed down vinyl.

If I close Live, the file plays back at normal speed.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

don't use Live and windows media player at the same time

Thanks ... what's the reason for that?

It happens also with Wavepad & Live open together, the free editing utility I use, and it's only starting happening recently.

Yeah, they both want to rule the world!!! LOL

Actually, without getting all technical ('cause I can't), they both want to control the core windows audio stuff.
