Live 6 EDU upgrade to Live 7 - license question

Hi there,

having read quite a few threads here, I now know that upgrading an EDU is possible - either at a discount, in case you are still a student, or at full price - if you are no longer a student.

In my case, I am no longer a student now (I am writing on my diploma at the moment, but I am no loger immatriculated), which means that I have to pay the full price.
I am willing to do so, since I'd like to be up to date and use this extremely nice product further. but does anyone know about the license-type I will get from this?
Is the licence going to change to normal if I pay for a fully priced upgrade? Would be nice to upgrade to a version that does no longer wear the EDU-sticker...
and also suitable, since I am no longer a student!

im pretty sure you can upgrade from an EDU licence to a full licence. You have to pay the full (ie not edu) price for the upgrade, but you have a full licence from then on.

just send the lovely people at support@ableton.com an email with your queries. they normally help me pretty quickly.
