merging midi clips

Post by shapshankly » Tue Nov 20, 2007 11:53 am

hi everyone, had a scan through the manual but couldn't find anything so over to you.... is there a way to merge two midi clips together? i.e. you have two 4 bar clips on the same track, one is a main drum beat, one is a percussion only section and you want to have the percussion and the beat play together in one clip.

is there any way to do this?

Yeah, they make it too easy, eh?

I've found my brain stuck in the "there must be a way to do this" mode several times. Each time (so far) the answer has been some simple drag-n-drop or cut and paste thing, instead of the more complicated way I thought I was looking for.

Erase the memory. Start over. Thanks Abletons for making a great, simple-to-use product that can do so much!
