help!!! after recording only one track is playing

Post by discjockeyr » Tue Nov 20, 2007 7:42 pm

Hi to everybody,

I need help as i came across a problem and i did not find a solution.
I am mixing (djing) live in session view and i am recording the set by pressing the Record button before i start my set. After i finish mixing and go to arrangement view to see my recorder set all the tracks exept the first are highlighted with pink colour and could not play or edit them. if i press the play button is playing only the first track then the waveform appears as the bar proceed but nothing came out from the speakers.
Do i making any mistake while recording?
please if anybody can help me to solve the problem i will apriciate it a lot.
Thanks in advance

try clicking the back-to-arrangement button, the triple horizontal line thingie in the tranport up at the top.

Right now, I think Live is trying to play back your file using the last settings you used (i.e. maybe you've muted/turned down track 1 when you started track 2) rather than following your knob movements/clip selections over time.

everything looks to be in order. I'm at work otherwise I'd check what's up
with the A/B assign setting being lost. it has to be the "back to arrange"
button, that setting takes some getting used to. try playing the set from the begining while toggling that back to arrange button.

I also take it that there aren't any effects in the chain that are blocking the
signal?

hmmm...

looks to be in order...but unfortunately the problem appears. there are no fx. also i have check the "back to arrange" button and no solution.
This happens when i press stop and go to arrangement view. Note also that if i play the set in the arrangement view after the first track the music stops but the wave of the following tracks are drawed as the bar proceed. you cannot see full tracks wave exept the first. the following tracks drawed only as the curson proceed

hi again,

what i found after several test is that when i add tracks while playing and recording live the tracks that added cannot be recorded and appears only as pink highlited. Any idea?
Do i have to select all the tracks before start to play and record?
Thanks in advance

Can you hear them on the cue channel?

What if you erase the X-fade assing automation and just assing one to A, the other to B, then hit play. Hear tracks 2 and 3 now?
