Arpeggiator wanted!!!
Hi,
Does anyone know, if there's a good arpeggiator, that I can use like a "midi effect"?
Mean I'm not looking for a vst "instrument", but just for some kind of a vst "arpeggiator" ..?
Don't get me wrong, I like the built in Live arpeggiator, but I dream of one, where I have more possibilities like:
- userdefined step length
- userdefined note transposition
- userdefined accents etc.
Haven't found something like that yet .. Please tell me if you know one!!!

Hi,
it´s not quite the same thing, but you might not know this feature:
you can Midi-Map a key-range to a clip (it works with Midi and Audio Clips).
The clip will be automatically transposed within the range - so you could use a Midi clip similar to a simple "user arpeggiator".
It works like this:
- activate Midi Mapping
- click on your Clip
- touch and hold down a key on your keyboard, this defines your root key
- while holding down the root key, touch a higher and then a lower key on your keyboard to set the range
Now you can trigger the clip´s midi sequence in various keys (don´t forget to adjust the clip quantization).

Is there a way to do this and keep the ability to play other instruments with the keyboard?jok wrote:Hi,

you sure? on my keyboard (just a simple Evoltion MIDI only) it has a channel buttonnorseman wrote:I found that the keyboard only sends MIDI on one channel. So with several keyboards on seperate channels this would work. If anyone knows some other way, please share
well, you can maybe rig up a track to filter the signals - even a rack using the external instrument plug-in - you may need IAC or MIDI yoke
