Notepad or Lyrics inside Ableton Live

Post by LiveXXX » Sat Nov 24, 2007 10:10 am

Hi Everyone,

I know this has been touched on a few times but I'm looking for the current best solution.

During my live performances I like to have lyrics to new songs on the computer screen along with Ableton Live.

I think I need the lyrics to be in the Ableton application because I am also displaying video from Live and if I switch from Live to Textedit then the video stops displaying (I think.. right?).

What's the best solution for an Intel Mac at this time?

Has anyone figured a way to put notes in the help viewer?

Thanks for any advice.

in live 7 you are able to do this.
right click on a sample and select 'edit info text'. when you hover over the sample the text is displayed in the place where the help menu usually is.
Are you a 'plant' to highlight the new features of Live 7 ?

why would this happen? run the video window on a second monitor that isn't set to 'mirror' you're main screen and you should be fine...

i'll confirm this tonight (on pc anyway) but i don't see why the video out of live should stop just because it hasn't got application focus.

I found this:
http://www.teragon.org/wiki/index.php?t ... 8live_5%29

I'm not sure if it works in Live 6 or 7. I will try it later today.

Hello.
You can add texts in the lesson menu. I personnaly wrote some tips or things to remembered and put it in.
Go to your Lessons folder, you'll find other folder, one per lesson. Copy one of these, edit its name and number, then edit its "lessonEN.txt" EN or FR or whatever lour langage is.
There is some rules to respect in the text edit, but you will find rapidly. I did, so you will do.
My tongue spits english like a frog and my head is currently searching for a comprehensive language.
And I shit here
