bam! live gone without a trace (crash - maudio delta 44)

Using either live 4 or live 6, i regularly have times where live just crashes. It is there one second and then the next it is gone. No slow down or lockup - just gone. When I restart live asks if I want to recover the crashed project.

I'm using an maudio delta 44 audio interface.

Has anyone had similiar problems? Suggestions? I want to upgrade to live 6 but currently with the demo I get the same crashes I do with version 4.

Ableton Live 6 crashes EVERY time I leave it idle for more than about 10 minutes. I'm using it with M-Audio 2496.

I'm a newbie to Ableton, but I've used the same setup with a PG Music Power Tracks with no problem.

I'm a little dissappointed so far with Ableton. It loads up real slow, midi songs don't load up correctly, and Ableton seems to get confused between GS instrument output and M-Audio output.

as an update:

my problems appear to be related to using reaktor as a vst instrument inside live. when i stopped using reaktor in live, things began to be very stable (no crashes at all).

I'm thinking it's more of a config problem if you're running the latest Reaktor version (5.1.2). I haven't had a crash with Reaktor and Live since Reaktor 4 and the early Live 4 versions.
