Problem with Live 6 start up "HELP"

I am currently having a problem starting Live 6. I receive a message stating that "The folder c:\c:\\ was not found". Then the program fails to boot. I also have a beta version for Live 7 that starts fine. I have a Dell XPS M1710 running windows vista. I have had the program running on this computer for about 3 weeks now. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it with out a problem, but now the message is coming back.
