There are a few venues in San Jose that have DJs nightly that play House music that people would dance to but don't have some weird ass license to do so. So for that reason they can't have any kind of "club lighting" installed. I'll admit that I am a total lighting whore and there is something really lame about dancing under dimmed bar lighting.

if you are a male musician/producer, you may like to know, or may like to be reminded, that girls like to dance

They sure do. But why do girls always have to put their arms above their head at some point?

So you can get a better look at their (fx) racks.

I haven't seen a lot of dancing at rock shows but the best example of boogying I have ever witnessed was at an Eric Clapton show years ago. Some old geezer hippy in overalls no shoes and his umm, mama, danced up a storm. They totally made the show. To this day whenever I hear After Midnight all can see is beards, bellies butts and boobs gyrating out of control.

8O The more important question is why you seem to have a problem with that. Just sit back and enjoy the show, or better still, go dance with her!

typical white boy dancer, the hands never go above the waist. fun to watch for them at the club, bonus points for the white man's overbite.

if the floor is crowded, watch the elbows, hands down probably. if there's room, sometimes you have to put your hands in the air and wave them like you just don't care.

back on topic

go to a place where people appreciate the music played, every genre, it happens, house to country to punk rock bar. $1 PBR is a good sign.
