I made the kick in Albino (bezier-like pitch envelopes!), and the other percussion is all Battery 3 samples.

Creating all the sounds from scratch really inspired this track. I was creatively engaged at nearly every step of the way - no time spent clicking through presets - so it actually worked out much faster this way.

Seriously, thanks for the encouragement!!! It's so easy to lose perspective and get down on oneself, when good progress is actually being made!
I love the psy trance! good job on this one man!

the only thing i would suggest, and this is totally a matter of my personal preference, would be to have more solid electronic drum sounds. a little more click and depth/boom to the bass drum, and a cymbol that is just a little bit more full sounding, maybe just a couple of milleseconds longer.
but, my god thats nit picking, lol

i was disapointed when it ended, lol

longer!

Yep, I want to fatten up my drums too! My wife says they are a little too conventional sounding. :D

I thought I'd mention that the piano sound at the beginning was done with String Studio with no built in effects, which is the same as Tension in Live 7. I think it sounds great!

I submitted this to an Australian psytrance label I've been courting...we'll see what they have to say!

I really like this. Yes, I agree that it can be used commercially, a racing game or some futuristic movie setting that is faced paced would be perfect for this. A chase scene, something a la matrix.

Nice intro , about bass - kick , you should try to give the kick less frequency on 7 - 8000 hz.Ithink it will help alot for creating the real ''popping '' kick. The style of this psytrance is not totaly my thing but , i think its more a mix of South African style and the famous full on style. Its very well produced so keep improve yourself this way man.

Yes I have been the happiest with the klick/boom kicks
when I make a full-range frequency sweep of a sine wave, with a good curve...
then EQ out the middle. Just leave the high and low. I adjust the boundaries of the notch filter depending on the mix the kick is to sit with.

Cheers~!
