Downloadable t-shirt?

Post by beats me » Thu Nov 29, 2007 1:54 pm

I'm buying the 7 upgrade download and I also need a new shirt, but I didn't notice any link for a downloadable t-shirt at a reduced price. I don't want to pay for shipping or wait for it in the mail. Please help!

Thanks!

  1. switch off your computer
  2. go outside
  3. find some kind of delicious food
  4. find a green, pleasant park with a nice patch of grass under a tree
  5. sit down, eat your food and concentrate on the flavour, taking some deep, cleansing breaths through your nostrils.
  6. repeat to your self the mantra "the internet is not real life. The internet is not real life."
let me know how you get on, I've been meaning to try that.

Well, with a few modifications, that should work. Here's the revised list:
  1. switch off your computer
  2. turn it back on
  3. remove the USB cord between your computer and your scanner, and plug it back in, but in the opposite direction (you may have to use excessive force)
  4. make sure you have the arpeggiator running, set to 16ths and with the 'ubiquitous' preset.
  5. sit down, eat your food and concentrate on the flavour, taking some deep, cleansing breaths through your nostrils.
  6. order the t-shirt
  7. presto!

ahhh the old scanner and arpeggiator trick

you know I told them to ship Live 7 with a backwards USB cable and a default template with that ubiquitous arpeggiator and would they listen?

Apparently it has something to do with relative vs absolute virtual USB cable drivers and PDC

Thanks for those tips guys! I'll have to try them after work.

I also noticed that the shirt I purchased last year isn't listed under my registered products. What?!? I was hoping to get an upgrade discount. The logo on the new shirts looks 2 millimeters larger and 5 millimeters to the left. They finally implemented my feature requests!

I sent 14 emails to customer service in the last 8 minutes but no response. That's not taking care of your customers! I've been an Ableton t-shirt wearer for over a year now but if this is how they treat their customers I won't be wearing them much longer. :x

I won a Native Instruments T-shirt once. I didn't want it, so I gave it away. Little did I know it was NFR (Not For Resale)...

My poor mate couldn't get a serial and so he couldn't wear it. I think he ended up wearing a cracked NI t-shirt.

don't forget to put the t-shirt on before attempting the ubiquitous scanner/usb method... it's essential to get a warm sound.

i haven't used ableton without my ableton t-shirt for like 8 months... got sick of 'cold' mixes and never looked back!

I've had that sore on my lip for weeks before the download, so pay no attention to that.
