Hello all,
I am trying to use live for DJing, and the instructions are not as clear on this as I was hoping. I have an onboard soundcard on my laptop as well as a PCMCIA creative soundcard that I normally route all sound through. I am trying to figure out how to route the master through the creative and the cue through the on board. I have assiged master 1 and cue 2, however, on the config menu when I change the routing on the master out the cue automatically changes to the same one I have routed the master to, and vice versa. Either way all that does is split the stereo left/right so I get the master through the right speakers and the cue through the left.
I need to get a dedicated master and a dedicated cue channell. Im not using an external controller, just working directly off the laptop.
Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

generally you can't use more than one soundcard at a time, but try asio4all (http://www.asio4all.com) as it can allow this, but not always. it's free though so worth a shot. you should get better perfromance (lower latency) out of asio4all as well.
if it doesn't work you'll need to start looking at soundcards with more than one output.
