Drum Machines doesn't work.
Hi there!
Installed the new 7 Suite with all of its extras. I downloaded the Drum Machines (220MB) and installed as requested, but can not find it anywhere on my comp. Any clue?

Drum machine is a group of Live Packs that when installed show up as presets for Drum Rack. If you've downloaded Drum Machine, then open Live 7, go to File/Install Live Packs. Find the .alp files and install them. You then just have to drag a drum rack into midi track and use the presets. Good luck and have fun!RhinoInRio wrote:Hi there!

I had the same problem but figured it out. It's not quite what I expected but here's how you find it:udp wrote:Drum machine is a group of Live Packs that when installed show up as presets for Drum Rack. -Go to "instruments" on the left pane
-click on "drum rack"
-click on any sample folder such as "kick" or "kit", etc.
-you'll see all the drum machine samples there --> put them wherever
...now this is where I haven't really figured it out as everytime I try to drag a kick into one midi slot on the drum rack and a snare into the other it simply erases one and replaces it with the new sample. Granted, I only played with it for like 2 minutes at 3:00 a.m. last night and I was tipsy.

Well thanx for responding ...but, when I open my instruments, drum racks there is only one folder there in: Current Project.
I mean, I'm sure I downloaded the Drum Machines, but I can't find them. Did the download place them there automatically???
While we're at it... Did anyone get the session drums downloaded yet, or do they only come with the CD? Can't find those samples either

No presets here. When I installed the DM alps they just created samples under the Drum Rack Instrument tab. Some one please tell me that there are presets???? If not, I think I got ripped off a bit here....mattdubs wrote:Anyways, the presets should show up under the drum racks tab in "Instruments".

I've downloaded them, opened live. then went to the folder on the desktop were drum machines were, doubleclicked to open the folder, then selected "ALL" .alp's and dobleclicked.
After that a window prompted asking me if I wanted to install all packs, I clicked yes and after a couple of minutes I found a lot of DMs on it's folder inside live! 707, 808, 909 and so on... and they're fun!!!!!
nice, really nice

Installed fine for me. I didn't see it at first, but all the full drum machine presets are in the folder called "Kit".
I'm a bit disappointed by the simplicity of the macros per drum hit, for example there's not even pitch mapped to a macro knob. But overall it's cool, and easy enough to alter to my personal liking.
