saving CUSTOM MIDI automation of plugin in live??

hi everyone.

i can't see to find a way to save midi mapping of a plugin in live and use it in another session.

i'd like to assign custom midi mappings to some plugins i use a lot with my midi controllers (bcf2000 and bcr2000) but the midi mapping is saved in the song, not the plugin or effect rack....
i can't find a way to apply this mapping to these plugins when i'm working in a new session.

it must be posible otherwise the whole idea of streamlining a performance is far gone....

i'd also like to know if there's a way to do this.

the only thing i can think of it to use macros and save those as a preset. but obviously 8 knobs are not enough to edit most plugins! is there maybe a way to link up a bunch of racks so that all their macros control the same plugin?
