Heya Phat,

To answer your quesiton, The Tipper kits are all samples, but have modulation in ultrabeat that gives them extra movement. If you want them as Dave wrote them, then you may need to resample them all. If you want to use the samples to rewrite your own kits with em, I can tell ya, they work well. I don't have sampler, so I haven't tried-- but I did mess around with the demo and it seems to load EXS perfectly. The thing is, all the kits Dave made are .Ubs for ultrabeat.

So, I haven't tried it, but it should work fine if you save em as EXS instruments first.

You may want to consider Redmatica's Keymap, for quick conversions to EXS, autolooping, etc. and Autosampler for making resampled kits really quickly.

I HAVE however loaded em up into drum racks and they work really well like that. You have to map them by hand, but there's only a few samples per kit and it only takes maybe 5 min to get a kit done. For the record, Tipper's kits are all samples, and have the initials DAT at the beginning of each sample. The Richard Devine ones have RD at the beginning. Interesting to see who made what.

That's about all I know. Hope it helps.....

The kits that tipper designed DO come stock with logic 8. They're not labeled as such but if you're familiar with his sound then you can spot them immediately.
If I rememeber right, theres some of his sounds in one (or a couple) of the IDM kits and Hip Hop kits.
I know that richard devine had done some work on some ultra beat kits as well but I havn't figured out which ones yet.
It's all slammin' material though.
